Time for Cake
Well the sun melted the icing on the cupcakes so Olivia took one look and said, "no thanks", you will notice a pattern of who (boys) were willing to get messy for the cupcake and who (girls) preferred not to
Seth thoroughly enjoyed his melted cupcake
It did not seem to bother Josh that they were messy
Charlie shows off his chocolaty hands

Picnic
We ordered pizza and had a nice time enjoying our lunch with everyone. I tried very hard to convince Olivia she wanted Chick fil A but she insisted on Pizza. I guess she new my motives were not pure. On the bright side my birthday is just around the corner so maybe my family will take me to Chick fil A for lunch. Yes this is my way of telling my husband to watch the calendar and not miss my birthday (wink, smile).

Easter Lilly
I thought this picture was interesting, Hannah got her head perfectly wrapped around a Easter Lilly, not on purpose. I didn't notice until I was looking at the pictures later. We were trying to get these done quickly so we could get to lunch and then leave for our trip.
Coming Soon...the Scantlin girls go to Florida
Microsoft Employee
So you wonder how Jerry is doing with his new job. Well he has always been a very loyal person and one reason he wanted to work for MS is because he believes in the product. I am concerned that he has taken this loyalty thing a little too far. He wears this shirt every time it is clean, he emphatically defends any MS product, and refuses to allow me to get an ipod. Can I get some help here?! On a more serious note Jerry is finding his niche and enjoying the job. Yes he is extremely busy but still finds time to ride his motorcyle that he got last year. He has been anxiously awaiting the warm weather so he can ride.
Spring has Sprung...or has it?
Well we did have a few days of nice weather and the girls could not wait to get out outside. It's like having a whole new set of toys to play with. These pictures were taken on Monday, March 26. We have since had some snow and pretty cold temperatures. This weekend that I am posting is going to be very nice, sunny and warm. :-)
Donkey Tales
Donkey Tales production was a fantastic performance by our master club kids. Led by Director Heather vanHoven the kids spent months preparing to share the gospel message about Jesus coming to be our Savior. Through many "donkey stories" in the bible told by Tex Arkana, played by Jeannine Reid, Oliva (Hannah Scantlin) and Madison (Samantha Bowman) helped tell the stories that show God's word is true. After hearing several stories Matt (Josh Newman) and Spencer (Zack Kilman) chose to follow Jesus and accepted his forgiveness and salvation. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!
Voice of God
Hannah sang a solo in "The Voice of God" a beautiful song about God revealing Himself through creation..."Listen closely, Listen closely, in the quiet of the night, in a dream of angels bright, what's He say in'? In the rainbow, in the fire's glow, when His beauty's every where, when you're resting in His care, when you're pray in', what's He say in'?" end solo begin chorus
The voice of God speaks in wondrous ways. The word of God appears on every page. And if you listen you'll hear the message true. I love you my child, I love you. Creation shouts His glory and the Bible tells His story.
Olivia and Madison
Hannah Scantlin and Samantha Bowman starred as "Olivia and Madison" two sweet girls visiting the Texas Dude Ranch again. Although the girls had a little more serious part in supporting "Tex Arkana" (played by Jeannine Reid) they had that true dude ranch attitude. Both the girls had several lines to learn and they both sang solos. We are proud of you!!
