Happy 14th Anniversary

This picture was actually taken on Abby's birthday, but on Tuesday we celbrated our 14th wedding anniversary. We look just like we did the day we were married plus a few pounds and minus a little hair (wink sorry Jer).

On the hunt for tickets

It was so hot when we were in NYC the girls were happy to rest in the pews in the church. This was 10am and they were already tired.
















On Tuesday morning we started out early since we had spent the night in the city. We had a room at the Sheraton so we could rest, swim and we all took turns spending the night there as the rest of the group would go back to Staten Island for the night. This was the day before Abby's fifth birthday and we headed to the Tickets booth to try to get discount broadway tickets. We were successful in getting matinee tickets on her birthday to see Beauty and the Beast. We also visited Trinity Church that was built in 1846 and has some amazing architectural details. The church is located at the intersection of Wall St. and Broad St.

Sooooo many things to do in NYC

On Monday, 8-21-06 we did some shopping, here you see Brandy and Lindsey trying on "big" sunglasses. Much to my surprise the big sunglasses are back in style. I think I keep my smaller wire rim glasses. Lindsey and Kalie found some good buys. That evening our group split up and ate at different places for dinner. Brandy, Abby, and Olivia went with Pam and Terry to Stardust diner. We were entertained by our waiters singing and performing oldies for us. Jerry, Hannah, Linnette, Austin, Zack, Lindsey, and Kalie went to Mars 2112 and had an Alien encounter during their dinner. Jerry also found out just how expensive dinner is in Mars. We tried to go to Nintendo store but is was closed so it had to wait until the next day. We headed back to Staten Island for the night.

July 31, 2006 NYC trip

Brandy, Abby, and Olivia riding the Ferris Wheel in the Times Square TOYSRUS. The ride lasted about 12-15 minutes and it is inside the building. One of the many cool things in this store. There is also a life size Barbie house, GIJOE men climbing the wall, and a realistic Dinosaur that moves and makes scary noises.

New Family Member

We picked up the newest member of our family on Thursday. At just six weeks old Minnesota "Minnie" weighs about four pounds. She has already won our affection and love and we are very busy trying to train her. I forgot just how demanding a puppy can be. It has brought back lots of memories of our first pup Donner and I am trying to not make all the same mistakes.
